ELT - Entry Level Traning

Center Air Pilot Academy is the only flight school in Scandinavia which invested in the latest technology in Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) Training for direct airline entry. We use a Boeing 737 XJ simulator which is also convertible to an ATR configuration.

ELT or Jet Orientation Course, which is an extended MCC course, is now an integral part of training for all students pilots at CAPA. The course includes 30 hours of XJ simulator. That is 10 additional simulaotr hours and 2 ekstra days of theory, when compared to the classic MCC course.
Entry Level Training (or ELT) answers the needs of the airline industry. They wish to see increased levels of Multi Crew Cooperation skills, system knowledge and hands-on training of e.g. FMS/CDU programming as preparing for the type rating, since future pilots need to be better prepared for a job in a modern commercial aircraft.

The course comprises:

• Jet performance including mass and balance calculation

• Low visibility operation

• Reduced Vertical Separation Minima theory (RVSM)

• TCAS

• Quick Reference Handbook and Non-Normal Checklist philosophy

• Technical course for the simulator.

10 lessons in the Mechtronix XJ B737. Lesson highlights:
